How las Insightful Babes Self-Care

Something we truly believe in is SELF-CARE. Although we love what we do at Insightful Babes, we are human, meaning that we get tired, stressed, etc; therefore, having our self-care days are super important for us to recharge and keep being a voice with all of the hustlers, dreamers, outsiders, and visionaries. Here we share a few of the things we like to do for Self-Care:

  1. Unplug- We live in such a fast paced world filled with so much technology, sometimes we have to unplug and take a breather from all the technology. Specially social media, sometimes SM can give us sense of anxiety from FOMO (fear of missing out) or the spirit of comparison. It's nice to get out into nature, or if nature ain't your thing grab a book or magazine and enjoy a cup of coffee without your phone, (YESS they still sell magazines out there lol).

  2. Pray/Mediate- It depends on your beliefs but you can connect to your higher source by prayer and meditation, it is such a beautiful way to show your soul some self-care. It is amazing to know that there is a bigger force out there keeping you safe and helping you grow. Meditation is so powerful it takes time to be fully aware of how to meditate or to find the correct meditation method for you, but remember to give yourself some grace until you find the perfect way to unwind. Meditation scares a lot of people because they think you HAVE to sit, cross your legs and "HUMMMM" away lol, but it's different for everyone, nevertheless some people do get peace of mind by doing that, but others like to water plants and meditate or sit and breathe. Embrace what makes you happy!

  3. Take A Warm Shower/ Bath- I can't even begin to describe how much I LOVE doing this! I take a nice long shower, exfoliate my skin shave my legs and visualize all the stress and negative emotions washing off my body and going down the drain. I love to play some relaxing music and light a candle! Don't be afraid to romanticize yourself, you will fell better, and when you feel better you do better and look better!!

  4. Get Active- Las Insightful Babes enjoy a nice workout. Did you know that working out releases stress and it's shown to improve your mood and decrease feelings of depression, anxiety, and stress. Exercise helps increase production of endorphins, which helps produce good feelings! SO yeah sign us up for that Zumba class lol!
